China’s shipbuilding output increased by 19% during January to June
During January to June, China completed 20.92M DWT ships, up by 19% y-o-y. New orders for shipbuilding were 38.24M DWT, up by 206.8% y-o-y. By the end of June, total amount of order-in-hand for shipbuilding was 86.6M DWT, up by 13.1% y-o-y.
During January to June, the output of exported ships was 19.75M DWT, up by 20.1%, total amount of order for exported ships was 34.15M DWT, up by 197.8%. By the end of June, total amount of order-in-hand for exported ships was 77.07M DWT.
During January to June, China’s exported ships accounted for 94.4%, 89.3% and 89% of the national shipbuilding completed orders, new orders, and hand-held orders, respectively.
